A Gubernatorial Debate at Lareau Farm

Sunday, July 20

Food is important.

Its production, processing, and distribution have a profound effect on the world.

Its consumption is essential to our health and vitality,

And is a central feature in often what is best of the

Human experience.

Food, in all if its forms, matters to all of us.

Food is science and sociology, it is religion and ethics.

It is part of our history and language.

Its counting is the reason for math, and it is

Political.

It can not not be political, and so,

It is important that food be part of our

Political conversations.

                        Thanks for coming tonight.

                                                                        Love,

                                                                                    George
